Try Soulkyn
The Receipt Test
The first Soulkyn test I would run is almost aggressively boring. Forget the erotic prompt. Forget the 70B badge for a minute. I would tell one Kyn that the pharmacy keeps misspelling my surname on a pale blue receipt, then never mention it again. Change the roleplay. Bring in another character. Generate a few images. Wait. If that stupid receipt comes back later only when it actually belongs, now I am interested.
The Settings Panel
Soulkyn invites this kind of nitpicking because the machinery is right there. Memories can be reviewed and edited. Several Kyns can share context. Character versions keep older states as personalities change. Some people will open all of that and think, finally. Others will wonder why flirting suddenly has a settings panel. Both reactions are fair.
The Memory Evidence
Two 2026 tests give the ambition some weight. One kept three characters running for at least 25 messages each and still recovered early details near the end. Another pushed a single Kyn through 60 messages with similarly strong continuity. I care more about that than another shiny media button. After too many companion reviews, memory that survives interference is the stuff I notice.
There is a cost. Money first. Just Chatting is €11.99 a month, Premium €24.99, Deluxe €49.99 and Deluxe Plus €99.99. Video adds its own Souls economy. Then there is the mental cost of profiles, memories, versions and linked characters. Soulkyn can be excellent and still make you feel like you should have read a manual before date night.
Soulkyn instant verdict
| Area | Score |
|---|---|
| Character creation | 9.1/10 |
| Chat and memory | 9.0/10 |
| Adult roleplay | 8.7/10 |
| Image generation | 8.6/10 |
| Voice and video | 8.4/10 |
| Value | 7.2/10 |
8.5/10, mostly because Soulkyn actually treats memory and character control as product architecture rather than a checkbox. Switch modes and the relationship does not immediately feel reset. Images and voice are good support. The upper tiers are expensive, though, and video pricing has moved enough that old calculators are basically archaeological artefacts.
Best for
Best for long roleplay, editable memory, big backstories and linked-character stories. Also for the person who enjoys learning how a system works. If settings are part of the fun for you, Soulkyn gives you plenty.
Skip it if
Skip it if you want a light interface, one cheap tier that includes everything, or lots of video without another token economy hanging off the side.
Price
When I checked on August 14, 2026, Soulkyn listed Just Chatting at €11.99 per month, Premium at €24.99, Deluxe at €49.99 and Deluxe Plus at €99.99. Annual billing was advertised at roughly 20 percent less. Those are the live figures I use here, because old Soulkyn price calculators age badly.

How Soulkyn was evaluated
The Pale Blue Receipt
Ten minutes with Soulkyn tells me almost nothing. This is a product built around accumulated history, which means I want to mess with the history. Memories persist. Characters get versions. Linked Kyns can share context. Chat profiles can change who the human side of the story is. Great. Now make all of that survive a story that refuses to stay neat.
The Interference Test
That is why I like the pale blue receipt. Mention it once, then let the chat wander. Generate images. Bring in another Kyn. Talk about something completely different. If the receipt returns naturally much later, good. If every pharmacy scene starts yelling PALE BLUE RECEIPT at me, well, actually, wait. That is memory too. Just the annoying kind.
Character editing is another good stress test. Soulkyn keeps versions when you change backstory, personality or appearance, so you can soften a sarcastic Kyn, keep going, then look back at who that character was before. Most companion apps pretend identity never changed. Soulkyn keeps the receipts. Different receipts this time.
A March 2026 DreamGen test spent about three hours across three characters, with at least 25 messages per character. A May assessment ran a separate 60-message session. Both reported strong continuity. Community accounts still mention misses. Honestly, I would distrust a memory system more if nobody ever admitted it missed.
Soulkyn's wording around 'unlimited memory' is refreshingly restrained. It means no strict storage cap on the memories the system can reference. It does not mean an infinite context window in every reply. That caveat makes the claim more believable, not less.
What Soulkyn actually is
Soulkyn is a browser-based adult companion and roleplay service owned by Cube Digital Media Ltd, an Irish company.
Soulkyn is a browser-based adult companion and roleplay service owned by Cube Digital Media Ltd, an Irish company at Ballycoolen Road, Blanchardstown Corporate Park 1, Dublin 15. It supports custom and public Kyns, text chat, images, voice, video, group interactions and a community layer.
'Kyn' is not just branding. The companion is one thing and the role you play through chat or roleplay profiles is another. It sounds fussy until you use one account for different stories. Then it suddenly makes sense.
Infrastructure and Distribution
The company talks about infrastructure more openly than most. A 2026 page says its language models and memory embeddings run on infrastructure it controls instead of sending every inference through OpenAI, Anthropic or Google. Soulkyn says this reduces the chance that an upstream provider quietly changes character behaviour. Technical claim, yes. Also relevant to a product where personality consistency is the whole point.
Free Access and Platform
Soulkyn works on the web, and its privacy documentation also refers to Apple and Google mobile distribution. Early 2026 hands-on accounts still treated web as primary and mentioned mobile quirks. Either way, the interface is dense. Smaller screen does not magically make that go away.
Free access changed in late 2025. The old unlimited freemium model ended, so current free use is basically a trial. Older articles can make Soulkyn look wildly more generous than what a new user sees now. Check the date before getting excited.
Character creation
Character creation feels like building a role, not an avatar
Soulkyn's builder is deep. Identity, personality, physical attributes, background, chat examples, self-awareness settings, version history. A public Kyn needs enough substance to pass listing rules. A private Kyn can be rougher, stranger, more personal. I prefer that separation.
Self-Awareness and Versioning
The self-awareness switch is one of those controls that sounds nerdy until you realise it solves a real problem. Should the companion know it is software or never step outside the story? Pick one. Done. No philosophical derailment in message 47 because the model changed its mind.
Versioning is even better if you keep a character for months. Change the backstory or personality and the earlier state still exists. That makes the relationship feel like it has chapters instead of one profile you keep overwriting every time you get bored.
Specificity pays. 'Confident and funny' is mush. A museum conservator who hates fingerprints on glass, keeps notes on damaged frames and cannot sleep before an exhibition opening has behaviour the model can actually return to. Yes, that is oddly specific. That is the point.
Public-character rules are stricter than the adult branding might lead you to expect. Real people, copyrighted characters and underage-looking characters are barred from public listing, and repeat violations can lead to account bans. Private creation is broader, but underage appearance remains a hard line.
Memory
Memory is Soulkyn's real product
Soulkyn's FAQ defines unlimited memory as long-term storage and recall without a strict per-user cap, then immediately says an individual reply still has finite context. I wish more products wrote claims like this. Less magic. More actual boundaries.
Memory also needs restraint. If my pale blue pharmacy receipt appears every time medicine comes up, I do not feel remembered. I feel haunted. Give me the callback once when it fits, then let it go.
The 2026 Tests
The 2026 tests lean positive. Early facts survived a three-hour multi-character session and another 60-message run. One June user was less impressed, which is worth keeping in the picture. Complex Kyns carry a ridiculous amount of competing information. A miss now and then is not the same thing as bad memory.
Editable Memories and Linked Kyns
Editable memories are what I want after the inevitable factual mistake. Arguing with a companion through five correction messages is tedious. Open the stored memory. Fix it. Move on. Less romantic, sure. Much more useful after week six.
Linked Kyns make the job harder because several personalities and descriptions share the same context. Soulkyn treats that as normal instead of assuming every relationship stays one-to-one. That is the sort of product decision I care about more than another hundred generated pictures.
Chat quality
Chat quality benefits from the 70B tier
Interface and Controls
The paid 70B model gives Just Chatting a real reason to exist. 2026 reviewers describe better long-form roleplay, stronger scene control and more consistent character voice than the free or lighter experience. That is not subtle if text is your main thing.
The interface never disappears, though. Regeneration controls, chat profiles, context settings, model options. Useful later. On day one it's basically an instruction manual sitting between you and the character, which can be a mood killer.
Once you know what the controls do, they become more rewarding. A chat profile changes who the human participant is without rewriting the Kyn. Language settings can live at character or roleplay-profile level. Linked Kyns can narrate or sit in the background. A lot of knobs. Most of them have a reason.
Writing modes are flexible too. Dialogue, actions, narration. Regeneration works like feedback rather than a detached editing tool. Soulkyn often feels less like a dating-app simulation and more like a roleplay engine that happens to know how to flirt.
The Setup Cost
The language model is not the main obstacle for me. The setup is. If you want instant entertainment, the profiles and context settings may feel like unpaid admin. If you like shaping systems, the same screen can be catnip. Weird how fast that flips.
Adult roleplay
Adult roleplay is permissive but not public chaos.
Soulkyn allows adult and erotic content between fictional adults, including private Kyn galleries and chat. There are still blocked-content and underage policies. Public avatars cannot be explicit, and public Kyns are expected to be original, substantial and visibly adult. Permissive does not mean lawless.
The public/private split is useful. Your private Kyn can be odd and hyper-specific without turning every choice into community content. Public characters get more moderation because other people can discover them. Sensible enough.
Infrastructure and Long Stories
Soulkyn's infrastructure claim matters here too. The company says its models run on infrastructure it controls, which reduces the chance that an outside commercial model provider changes adult-content rules overnight. Soulkyn can still change its own rules, of course. It just removes one external policy layer.
For long adult stories, memory matters more than raw permissiveness. Plenty of products can allow explicit language. Carrying a relationship, conflict and setting through multiple scenes is harder. Soulkyn is better at the hard part.
That is why the adult-roleplay score is high. Not because it says yes to everything. Because the architecture can keep a story alive after the obvious part is over.
Image generation
Images support the character instead of replacing it
Soulkyn has several image models and LoRA-style controls, and the visual range is good. You can generate from chat with prompts or use Picturize to turn a message into a visual request. Small workflow detail. Big difference when you are mid-scene and do not want to become an art director.
I like Picturize for exactly that reason. The best companion image is usually the one that grows out of a scene already happening. Stop, open a separate generator, rewrite the scene as an image prompt, and the spell is gone. Picturize keeps the moment attached.
Allowances and Identity
Premium includes a large image allowance. Deluxe moves toward unlimited imagery. The live pricing page describes Premium as 300 image quota units, potentially enough for roughly 1,800 images depending on the action, while Deluxe includes unlimited images and in-chat images. The conversion depends on model and quality. Yes, it is a little fiddly.
Character identity usually survives well enough that the media feels attached to the Kyn. Complicated scenes and big style changes can still drift. That happens across this whole category. Soulkyn at least gives you enough character controls and model choice to recover without rebuilding everything from zero.
Images are not the reason a Lovescape user suddenly defects to Soulkyn. They have another job. If you came for memory, you do not have to give up decent visual generation to get it. Good enough is useful here.
Voice and video
Voice and video are powerful and financially messy.
Voice messages are on paid tiers, and current product material also supports voice calling. The part I like is continuity. The same Kyn moves into audio instead of turning into a random TTS voice wearing the character's name tag.
Video pricing is easier to understand from current plan entitlements than old Souls tables. The public page did not list one universal per-video Souls charge when I checked. Deluxe Plus did include 50 videos across qualities. That is the number I would use, not some calculator from last year.
If you pay for video action by action, trust the live in-account cost. The public page does not expose one universal Souls rate for every mode. Annoying, but at least clear about what I cannot calculate from outside the account.
Deluxe Plus gives heavy users those 50 included videos and costs €99.99 a month. Maybe that is reasonable for someone generating constantly. For a normal companion-app budget it is a lot of money. No way around it.
Voice is easier to recommend because it extends the character you already care about. Video is where I start looking at the monthly bill instead of the relationship. That is never a great sign.
Soulkyn pricing
Soulkyn pricing is really a ladder of complexity
The four paid tiers are not just bigger buckets. Each changes what you can actually build, which is why a neat comparison table almost hides the point. The ladder gets more complicated as it gets more capable.
| Tier | Monthly price | Key change |
|---|---|---|
| Just Chatting | €11.99 | 5,000 messages, 70B model, unlimited characters and memories, small image and voice allowances |
| Premium | €24.99 | Unlimited messages, much larger image quota, 300 voice messages, 70B model |
| Deluxe | €49.99 | Unlimited images and voice, linked characters, group features and broader media access |
| Deluxe Plus | €99.99 | Deluxe features plus 50 videos, large AI-assisted editing allowance and priority features |
Annual billing is advertised at roughly 20 percent less. Just Chatting is weirdly capable for text-first users. Premium starts making sense when images and voice become regular habits. Deluxe is where linked characters and broader multi-character story tools justify the jump.
Deluxe Plus is not a casual upgrade. €99.99 a month is real money. You need to care about video and high-volume creative tools a lot, not just think they sound nice on a feature list.
Souls still matter for some media actions, especially video. The public pricing page does not publish one universal per-video amount, so I am not dragging an old Souls number into a 2026 calculator just because a blank cell bothers me.
Is Soulkyn free?
Yes, but think trial, not freemium.
Unlimited free use ended in October 2025. The current free product lets you sample the ecosystem without giving you the full long-term companion older articles describe.
The Paid Version Is the Point
That can undersell Soulkyn a little. The paid 70B model and expanded memory are part of why the service is interesting. A short free chat may feel ordinary. The expensive version is the one doing the unusual stuff.
Is Soulkyn safe?
Is Soulkyn safe when memory is meant to last
Cube Digital Media Ltd in Ireland is named behind Soulkyn, and the service publishes privacy, terms, blocked-content and age policies. Privacy matters more here than on some competitors because the product is deliberately designed to remember a lot about you.
Retention and Infrastructure
The privacy notice says personal information can be retained for up to six years after account closure, depending on legal and business requirements. Six years. I had to sit with that number for a second, because this is a product whose best trick is remembering intimate conversational history.
Soulkyn also says prompts, replies and memory embeddings run on infrastructure it controls rather than being sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or another frontier-model provider for every inference. That removes one outside processing layer. It does not make Soulkyn disappear from the data flow, obviously.
You can inspect, edit and delete memories, which gives you more visibility than most companion apps into what the character carries forward. Private Kyns stay out of public discovery. Account-level safety rules still apply. Reasonable controls, at least on paper.
The Timescale Problem
The timescales are what stick with me. You can fine-tune what a fictional relationship remembers while the company may retain personal information for years after closure. Anyone using Soulkyn like a diary should hold both facts in their head at once. Not fun. Necessary.
User feedback
Soulkyn does not have a Trustpilot sample big enough for a meaningful reputation score. The disagreement elsewhere is more useful. People who carefully configure characters often praise memory and depth. People looking for an instant dating-app experience tend to complain about the interface. I can see why both groups exist.
Test Results vs Community
A March three-hour test and a May 60-message session both came away impressed by continuity. Other 2026 accounts call memory merely average or mention occasional misses. The strongest results tend to involve structured characters and the paid model which probably explains at least some of the spread.
Interface and Media Opinions
Interface criticism is much more consistent. Profiles, memories, model choices and regeneration controls give experienced users leverage. New users get homework. Whether that looks rich or cluttered depends almost entirely on whether control itself is part of the appeal.
The media layer keeps moving too. Video and music changed during 2026, and video pricing shifted enough to make older reviews unreliable. Great for active development. Terrible for anyone trying to publish a cost calculator and go to bed.
Soulkyn alternatives
Soulkyn's alternatives mostly remove one layer of complexity and give up some control in return. There is no magic simpler clone with all the same memory machinery.
| Alternative | Makes sense for | Cost of switching |
|---|---|---|
| Soulkyn | Deep memory, linked characters, roleplay profiles and model control | Dense interface and expensive upper tiers |
| OurDream | One long-running companion with simpler memory tools | Media coin costs can become intrusive |
| HeraHaven | Visual identity and easier scenario-led onboarding | Long-term memory is less durable |
| GirlfriendGPT | Large text allowances and model selection | Weaker visual identity and less integrated memory architecture |
Pick Your Fit
OurDream is easier if you want one relationship without configuring a roleplay system. HeraHaven is the visual-first pick. GirlfriendGPT gives text-heavy users model choice without all the linked-character architecture. Soulkyn is the one you choose when the complexity itself is useful.
The Settings Test
Open the settings page. If your first thought is 'finally', Soulkyn is probably for you. If it is 'why is all of this here?', believe yourself.
Is Soulkyn worth it?
Soulkyn is one of the strongest options here when accumulated history is the whole point. Memory shows up in character design, versions, profiles, linked Kyns and even the infrastructure story. It does not feel like somebody bolted a 'memory' toggle onto a generic chatbot on Friday afternoon.
The €11.99 Just Chatting plan is the quiet surprise. Five thousand messages plus the 70B model is a serious text-first entry point. Premium becomes the natural middle only when images and voice start becoming habits rather than occasional toys.
Video and Value
I would not build a long subscription decision around an old per-video Souls number. Prices moved. Deluxe Plus is expensive enough that the current 50-video allowance has to make sense on its own. Last year's calculator can stay in last year.
Final Score: 8.5/10
Soulkyn stays at 8.5/10. It asks more from you than most companion apps, and that is tied to why it works. Hate settings and you may hate the experience. Want a character to carry history, survive revisions and share a world with other Kyns? Then the homework starts looking worth it.
This revision uses the live four-tier plan rather than old video tables and keeps 2025 figures only where they show how the media economy changed. The memory judgment is less dependent on one source because separate 2026 tests reached broadly similar results under long conversational load.
